Our Story:

We are a family raising two boys, ages 11 and 13, both on the autism spectrum but in very different ways.

Our 11-year-old is profoundly autistic. He lives in a world that is rich and vibrant, but often without words. Communication comes in gestures, patterns, routines, and sometimes in smiles that mean more than entire conversations. Life with him has taught us patience, creativity, and the beauty of connection beyond language.

Our 13-year-old is on the higher-functioning end of the spectrum. He is verbal and independent, yet still faces daily challenges that many don’t see , from navigating friendships to managing the social pressures of middle school. His journey has taught us resilience, advocacy, and the importance of understanding the invisible struggles many autistic individuals face.

As parents, we know both the heartbreak and the joy. We know the exhaustion of therapies and appointments, the isolation of feeling misunderstood, and the fear of the unknown. But we also know the triumph of the smallest progress, the laughter that fills a home, and the deep love that grows when you truly see your children for who they are.

This is why we created Swell Pals.
